Dracula Tarot Card Series (2023)

This 22 copper plate etching series is based off of the titular 1897 novel by Bram Stoker," Dracula".

This series is putting the characters and events of the novel in the orientation of the standard 22 major arcana of the Tarot Deck.

Tainted Goddess Series (2022)

This 6 copper etching Plate (12 Print) series is based of a dungeons and dragons game I have participated in since 2020 named "Tainted Goddess" due to the corruption of 2 goddess in particular throughout the campaign.

Each plate is made to represent one of the six player characters involved throughout the story. This series is the main one that introduced me to working with etching that has become my favourite medium in print media.

Macbeth (2022)

This ten print series is based of of William Shakespeare play by the same name. I completed it last year and is comprised of three different printing techniques either in combination or individually used.

"So all hail Macbeth and Banquo"

This Linocut print is based off of the prophecy the witches tell Macbeth and Banquo in ACT I Scene III which is the catalyst for Macbeths actions throughout the rest pf the play.
"All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!
All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!
All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!
Lesser than Macbeth and greater.
Not so happy, yet much happier.
Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none.
So all hail, Macbeth and Banquo!"

"Your hand, your tongue. Look like th’ innocent

This combination Monotype and Dry Point Print is based off the advice that Lady Macbeth gives her husband in ACT I Scene IV as a way for them not to seem suspicious to King Duncan.
"Your hand, your tongue. Look like th’ innocent

But be the serpent under ’t"

"Infirm of purpose! Give me the daggers."

This combination Monotype and Dry Point print is based off the scene after the murder of Duncan where Lady Macbeth takes the daggers from her husband so that she can place them back on the guards as evidence that they did not commit the crime. This takes place in ACT II Scene II
"Infirm of purpose!
Give me the daggers. The sleeping and the dead
Are but as pictures. ’Tis the eye of childhood
That fears a painted devil. If he do bleed,
I’ll gild the faces of the grooms withal,
For it must seem their guilt."

"His silver skin laced with his golden blood"

This Monotype is based off of the scene where they discover the body of Duncan in his chambers in ACT II Scene III.

"Let it come down!"

This Linocut is based off of the scene where the murderers kill Banquo and let his son, Fleance, escape. This then leads to Banquos long line of kings as prophesied by the witches.
"It will be rain tonight
Let it come down!"

Act IV Scene 1

This Dry Point print is based off ACT IV Scene I where Macbeth is given three more prophesies by the three witches in how his ultimate downfall will occur.
"Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff!
Beware the Thane of Fife! Dismiss me. Enough."
"Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth!—
Be bloody, bold, and resolute. Laugh to scorn
The power of man, for none of woman born
Shall harm Macbeth."
"Be lion-mettled, proud, and take no care
Who chafes, who frets, or where conspirers are.
Macbeth shall never vanquished be until
Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill
Shall come against him."

"What you egg?"

This Monotype is based off the scene in ACT IV Scene II where the murderers kill Macduffs family.
"What, you egg?
[Stabbing him.] Young fry of treachery!"

"Out, damned spot, out, I say!"

This Dry Point print is based off of the ACT V Scene I. Where Lady Mabeth is said to have succumbed to guilt of the murder and has gone mad, trying to wash blood from her hands that is not seen by the Doctor and Maid.

"Through Birnam wood be come to Dunsinane"

This combination Linocut and Stencil is inspired by Macduffs army using branches as a way to camouflage themselves before the battle with Macbeth, which brings one of the three prophecies true.

Enter Macduff with Macbeths Head

This final Dry Point is based off ACT V Scene VIII where Macbeth has been defeated and beheaded by Macduff.
